“These things happen for a reason and you will come out of this in a better position,” I told a Friend who lost his job, in February, 2009. While this is easier said than done, my message was to not feel hopeless, as his difficult times would lead to better days ahead.

Challenging times are like dark clouds that pass overhead and block the sun. The sun shining at the edges of every cloud remind us that every difficult situation has a bright side.

In these challenging times individuals are facing adversity more than ever before. Yet, we are overcoming these challenges and persevering! As a natural born optimist, I find myself always looking for the positive side of every story. I started FINDASILVERLINING.com to create a community for individuals looking to inspire or be inspired through sharing stories of optimism.
